Artist Statement
Through fiber, mixed media, and sculptural storytelling, I create imagined worlds that explore wonder, beauty, hope, and the unseen dimensions of human experience. My work draws inspiration from nature, faith, memory, and imagination. Using wool and found materials, I construct miniature environments and symbolic landscapes inhabited by birds, pathways, cities, and organic forms that suggest stories beyond what is immediately visible. These works can be both real or imagined places, but more so invitations into contemplative spaces where viewers may encounter their own sense of meaning, possibility, and discovery.
Whether creating felted landscapes or three-dimensional narrative sculptures, I am interested in the ways art can awaken curiosity and reconnect us with a childlike capacity for wonder. Through texture, color, and form, I seek to create visual experiences that feel both familiar and transcendent. At its core, my work is an exploration of beauty as a restorative force—a reminder that imagination, hope, and mystery remain essential parts of the human experience.
