Artist Statement

 

I work in two creative worlds — the soft, sculptural depth of wool felt and the vibrant movement of abstract acrylic paintings. My felted works, often framed in hand-painted borders, are windows into moments and places both real and imagined — from serene seascapes, flowers received as a token of love from another, a walk in town, or sacred spaces like the Western Wall in Israel. My abstract paintings are alive with color, texture, and movement, flowing from intuition and the spiritual impressions I sense as I create.

 

Faith, emotion, and the beauty of human connection are at the heart of my work. Whether interpreting a sacred place, exploring a landscape, or responding to the world’s events, I aim to create art that stirs memory, opens new perspectives, and offers peace, hope, and joy.

 

Texture and depth run through all my work, whether through layers of wool or paint. To me, they mirror life’s complexity and simplicity existing side by side.

 

I have been creating since childhood, beginning with drawing, moving to painting in my twenties, and discovering wool felting in my forties. This journey has led me to embrace both mediums equally — each offering a way to express the shared beauty, unity, and faith I see in the world, even in the midst of its chaos.

 

If my art could speak, it would say: We are unique, yet deeply connected — and in this shared world, faith and joy can bring us peace and simplicity, even in life’s complexity.
